To the family and friends of KenCCID Participants/Individuals: I am writing on behalf of the KenCCID Family. KenCCID as an organization is taking every precaution to keep our Individuals, staff members, and surrounding community safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

Many heartfelt thanks to everyone that helped make our 38th Annual Appreciation Day a huge success! As always, we had a great time and it was lovely to gather with individuals, family members, employees, the board of directors, and our community to celebrate the season.

Our 38th Annual Appreciation Day will be held Saturday, December 7th from 3:30 pm – 7:30 pm. In addition to celebrating everyone that makes KenCCID’s Mission work possible, this event helps us raise money to support people with intellectual disabilities. Come and celebrate with us!

Central to KenCCID’s mission and one of our core values is to empower the people in our care. Many of our individuals choose to work and we collaborate with numerous employers in the Philadelphia area. We provide Community Integration Employment Services, which include; Individualized Work Assessments, On and Off-Site Job Search Assistance, Job Coaches, and Job Development. Cherie’s story exemplifies the growth and success of this program.

Jason was honored after being chosen by his colleagues to be the CHM (Community House Manager) of the Year. Congrats Jason! We asked Jason a few questions about his job at KenCCID and what it means to him. It’s easy to see why he was nominated when you read his responses.

We ended 2018 with some holiday cheer at our annual Appreciation Day party. In addition to celebrating everyone that makes KenCCID’s Mission work possible, this event helps us raise money and improve outcomes for people with intellectual disabilities. It’s always a great time with food, raffles, music & dancing–check out Santa getting his groove on!

KenCCID has lost two wonderful, past and present, Board Members in the last 2 months. Our hearts are saddened by their loss and we wish both families peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Our 37th Annual Appreciation Day will be held Sunday, December 2nd, from 12:30 pm to 5pm. In addition to celebrating everyone that makes KenCCID’s Mission work possible, this event helps us raise money to support people with intellectual disabilities.

The KenCCID team wanted to make the Advisory Board meeting special for the Individuals who participate. It was the last meeting before the Board takes a break for the summer. KenCCID Community House Managers, the Program Specialist and the Residential Director decided to have a full on BBQ.
