When I see the progress and growth in the individuals that we serve. When you see someone who was not able to fully do an activity. And from training, support, prompting and advocating, to see them grow to doing those things independently. That’s what gives me the most satisfaction.

MAKU WARRAKAH ALI, OUR CEO

The most satisfaction that I get is the smiles on their faces. I know that they’re happy. I know that they’re taken care of. I know that they’re safe.

TEAM MEMBER, KENCCID

I’ve always liked to work with people in the IDD [Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities] population. And I get to build something here.

TEAM MEMBER, KENCCID

When I've done my job such that the work of those adjacent to me feels easier. I feel pride in being an effective member of the team.

TEAM MEMBER, KENCCID

We work as a team – that’s support.

TEAM MEMBER, KENCCID

One of the best things that KenCCID does is act like a family to the individuals in their care. They are a relatively small agency and involve families of the folks in their lives. They have welcomed family members on the Board.

JOAN HECHT, FORMER BOARD MEMBER
