Meet Daniel Harris, Master of Ceremonies for KenCCID's Possibilities Gala 2026
A people-first leader, community champion, and advocate for access with dignity will help lead an evening celebrating possibilities.
KenCCID is excited to welcome Daniel Harris as Master of Ceremonies for the Possibilities Gala 2026, taking place Friday, November 20, 2026, at La Luna Banquet Hall in Bensalem, Pennsylvania.
The Possibilities Gala is more than a celebration. It is an opportunity to bring together individuals, families, community leaders, businesses, and supporters who believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live a fulfilling life, pursue their goals, and experience greater independence.
Daniel Harris brings a remarkable combination of leadership experience, community engagement, and a genuine passion for helping others succeed.
A Leadership Journey Built on People
Daniel's career began as a part-time cashier at Walmart. Within just 18 months, he advanced into salaried management, beginning a leadership journey that would span more than a decade and multiple states. Throughout his career, he has guided operations involving more than 600 associates and led teams through extraordinary challenges, including severe winter storms, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the reopening of a store within 24 hours following a fire.
His accomplishments extend beyond operational success. Daniel takes particular pride in the leaders he has helped develop and the opportunities he has created for others. He was later selected to serve in a newly established position as Senior Field Director for Community Engagement for the Eastern United States, further expanding his work connecting businesses and communities.
A Champion for Community Engagement
Daniel understands the importance of bringing people together to make a difference. Throughout his career, he has developed partnerships among businesses, Chambers of Commerce, nonprofit organizations, schools, and first responders to address community needs and create meaningful opportunities. His dedication earned him Walmart's Community Champion Award in both 2023 and 2024.
His community involvement also includes service on the boards of Literacy Delaware, the Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement, and the Delaware Foundation for Science and Mathematics Education. Additionally, he has served as an Honorary Commander with the Delaware State Police.
Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Leadership and Management from Bellevue University.
Access With Dignity: A Shared Commitment
At the heart of Daniel's leadership philosophy is a simple but powerful belief: Access with dignity. That philosophy reflects the values behind KenCCID's mission to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in living meaningful, independent, and self-directed lives. By creating opportunities, encouraging community connections, and recognizing the abilities and aspirations of every individual, we can help build a more inclusive future. Daniel's commitment to people and community makes him a wonderful addition to this year's celebration.
