Brittany's Story: Living a Life Full of Possibilities

At KenCCID, we believe that life is about making memories, building friendships, and embracing new experiences. For Brittany, a vibrant member of the KenCCID family, every opportunity to get out into the community is a chance to explore, connect, and create lasting memories.

From cruising aboard the Spirit of Philadelphia to cheering on the Philadelphia Union at a soccer game with friends, Brittany enjoys experiencing all that her community has to offer. Whether attending exciting events, spending time with friends, or participating in community outings, she embraces each adventure with enthusiasm.

Creating Opportunities Through Community Support

This year, many of these meaningful experiences were made possible through the generous support of the Intellectual Disabilities Services (IDS) grant, which awarded KenCCID $15,000 to expand community opportunities for the individuals we support.

Thanks to this funding, Brittany and many others have been able to participate in enriching activities that encourage independence, build confidence, strengthen friendships, and foster a greater sense of belonging.

These experiences are about much more than simply having fun. They provide opportunities to develop social connections, discover new interests, make personal choices, and become more actively involved in the community.
