Every person deserves the opportunity to live, work, build relationships, and participate in community life. KenCCID’s person-centered services are shaped around each individual’s strengths, preferences, goals, and aspirations.

For more than 50 years, long-standing relationships among individuals, families, and staff have helped create the trust, stability, and sense of belonging that define the KenCCID community.

HOUSING

A safe, welcoming place to call home

For more than 50 years, KenCCID has provided supportive homes throughout Philadelphia where individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities can build relationships, take part in community life, and pursue meaningful goals.

KenCCID operates 31 community homes staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week by trained professionals committed to each person’s health, safety, dignity, rights, and well-being.

A dedicated vehicle assigned to each home

Access to appointments, employment, recreation, cultural activities, faith communities, and everyday community life

Community Living Arrangement (CLA)

A supportive community-based residential service where individuals receive personalized assistance in homes staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The program supports relationships, community participation, daily living skills, and increased independence.

Semi-Independent Living

A more independent living option with support tailored to the individual’s needs, goals, routines, and preferences. The program encourages self-determination, responsibility, personal growth, and meaningful community life.

Many of the individuals KenCCID supports are eager to work, contribute their talents, and become more connected to their communities. They are dependable, motivated, and ready to pursue meaningful opportunities.

Through Community Integrated Employment and Community Participation Support, KenCCID helps individuals develop workplace skills, gain experience, build confidence, and connect with employers throughout the Philadelphia region.

KenCCID supports individuals as they build skills, gain experience, and connect with meaningful employment opportunities matched to their strengths and goals.

Community Participation Support (CPS)

CPS helps individuals build confidence, independence, and meaningful relationships through volunteerism, social engagement, skill-building activities, and community involvement.

LIFE SHARING

A place to live. A family to belong to.

Every person deserves more than a place to live — they deserve a place to belong. Life Sharing is a residential support service that matches an individual with a qualified, compassionate provider who opens their home and includes the individual in everyday family life. It offers personalized assistance, companionship, stability, and meaningful relationships while supporting choice, dignity, and independence.

What is Life Sharing?
Individuals live in a family-style setting and become active participants in daily routines, celebrations, traditions, and shared experiences — while maintaining personal choice and independence.

Life Sharing may be a good fit for someone who:
